Sticky Apple Legs is proud to be collaborating with a small group of Swinburne University students in 2009; for their final semester, Sean Bryan and his fellow students present Live in the Hive. Featuring giant bees, this street theatre performance will take place during the Melbourne Fringe Festival at Swinburne’s Prahran campus. Additionally, it will feature a multimedia performance from ‘within’ the hive, combining live and digital puppetry of the life of a bee.
The performances will take place from 12.30pm to 1.30pm, 6th to 9th October, 2009. You can find more information about the students and their production (with behind-the-scenes stuff and pictures) here.
Sticky Apple Legs (really Jeany and Naomi) are friends of Sean Bryan and we are extremely pleased to be able to support him, and his fellow Swinburne students, in a predominantly autonomous production; they will be creating and producing this street theatre piece from start to finish, with minimal input from the university staff and lecturers.
